The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, located in Romania, is the largest technical university in the Transylvania region. It has a rich history, originally established as an Industrial College in 1920 and undergoing several name changes before adopting its current name in 1992. The university has expanded over time, initially starting with faculties of thermotechnics and machines and growing to include nine faculties based in Cluj-Napoca, three faculties located in Baia-Mare, and four extensions located in Bistrita, Satu-Mare, Alba-Iulia, and Zalau.
